MANDARIN IS NOT REQUIRED. Chinese Theater Club aims to create productions of Chinese plays every year. Members will also experience workshops on production elements, Chinese theater, and Chinese culture. Members are encouraged to be part of the production and workshops but are not required.

This club will consist of biweekly meetings. At the end of each meeting, a creative writing prompt will be given and completed works will have a chance to be shared and critiqued in the following meeting. It is our goal that the space will be encouraging and give opportunities for all members to grow as writers, preparing them for future creative writing aspirations and endeavors.

CIAO club seeks to promote Italian culture at Pepperdine through opportunities centered on language development, cultural understanding, and relationships with fellow Italian students. The Federalist Society is a national organization that was founded to provide a space that analyzes current issues from a legal perspective. In this space, students will collaborate with the Law School club to dive deeper into current issues. With connection to the established Law School club, the undergraduate Federalist Society can host joint events to facilitate events, guest speakers, and most importantly discussion.

Nourish strives to create a supportive environment for those passionate about health from a nutritional science perspective. Nourishing the body as the heart of the club, this organization aims to promote healthy eating habits and a positive relationship toward food. The club and its members serve as advocates for promoting positive body image and raising eating disorder awareness. Nourish provides educational opportunities to inspire individuals to further their understanding of nutritional science and its impact on health promotion and disease prevention. This educational environment is created by fostering peer-to-peer discussion and education both among club members and the greater student body, organizing events with Pepperdine University and off-campus speakers, and building a mentorship program to support fellow students interested in pursuing a career in the health sciences. Furthermore, Nourish serves as a link between the Pepperdine student body, faculty and staff members, and dining facilities. The club helps establish innovative solutions to advance on-campus dining options and address campus community needs in areas including the nutritive value of meal options, food insecurity, and sustainable practices. Finally, Nourish empowers club members to apply their knowledge and passion for health and nutrition through service. Rock climbing is an extremely unique activity in its intricacies, so our club will teach the supreme importance of safety and conduct activities only under an experienced eye. With safety being our first priority, this complex sport will expose our members to opportunities of great personal, communal, and spiritual growth through overcoming physical and mental obstacles, trusting and encouraging others, and intimacy with GodÔÇÖs nature.

The Pepperdine Scuba Club is here on campus to provide students with an easy way to access informations about Scuba Diving as well as opportunities to participate in classes from Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water Certification, and many other advanced courses! For certified members, we will also provide affordable options to get out and experience the beautiful ocean we see next to campus every day. This includes local beach dives as well as trips out to Catalina and other Channel Islands on Local Boats. It does not cost anything to belong to the club and you do not need to be already certified. We are simply here to allow students to experience the world of diving!

This club offers group meditations, yoga, and all sorts of mindfulness activities to ground members in the present moment.

open and accepting environment for all forms of meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and prayer. The club atmosphere will be extremely supportive and positive no matter where people are on their spiritual journey. The meditation club strives to lift members up and celebrate wherever we are physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our organizationÔÇÖs opportunities going into the 2022-2023 school year are simply being an open community that accepts anyone curious about the practice of sitting quietly and letting the mind slow down. Before meditating and doing yoga, the club will participate in an activity to get the mind ready to be in the moment. This could include spiritual readings, open discussion, sharing experiences, breathing exercises, watching videos, or simply being together and enjoying each otherÔÇÖs company. The club will be going on retreats to temples and meditation centers in the LA/Malibu area and we will invite speakers to share their experiences with meditation and the wonders of obtaining a silent mind.
