The Art History Student Society is a group of students who wish to explore the field of art history both academically and in the world around us. We strive to provide opportunities for our members to experience the arts both here on campus and in the Los Angeles area. In addition, we serve as an important link between the students, faculty, and administration to promote the study of art in its historical context.

The Student Affiliates program of the American Chemical Society (ACS) supports undergraduate students, their faculty, and local section members in promoting professional development, mentoring and peer-support mechanisms for those majoring in chemistry. These goals are achieved through events that aim to further the chemistry community at Pepperdine, reach out to the surrounding community through education opportunities, fundraising to support philanthropic causes, and attend regional and national ACS meetings to report on Chemistry research performed at Pepperdine.

The Future Teachers Club is an organization that unites students who are studying to become teachers. It aims to build a community among future teachers by discussing topics of common interest including fieldwork, our shared education classes, and our personal experiences within or related to the field of education. We will also keep up with current issues and events in education and have discussions about those topics. This organization will be a place for us to connect with other students outside of the classroom about our future careers. We will share our thoughts and opinions on various topics with each other and learn from one another. We will also share ideas that we have for our future classrooms including classroom strategies. We will have internship and career preparatory opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and guest speakers all in connection to the field of education. We will also have fundraisers and service projects for local schools including a book drive.

Mission
NSLS is the largest accredited leadership honor society and collegiate leadership development program in the country. NSLS is currently operating on over 700 campuses and has over one million inducted members. NSLS differs from other honor societies because instead of being inducted based on a GPA requirement and then choosing if or how they participate in the program or not, students in the NSLS have to complete the five steps of the NSLS program in order to earn their induction. Throughout the program, NSLS fosters a community that leads to a sense of belonging, and then members are given content that they need to develop their skills. Along the way, there is the opportunity and the expectation that members are going to take what they're learning, practice it, and then put it into action in their communities.

The foundation of the Accounting Society is based on three core values: integrity in business, personal and educational development, and professionalism. The Pepperdine Mathematics Club seeks to provide an open forum for undergraduate students interested in mathematics to discuss ideas, collaborate in a social setting, and be an active member of an official group at Pepperdine University. We work closely with the faculty to present real mathematical research and topics. We emphasize the beauty of mathematics, the skills that we gain from studying mathematics, and the career options gained from a background in mathematics whether one is getting a degree in it or not.

We hold weekly general meetings involving a short fellowship time, snacks, and a longer lecture style presentation by a faculty member, guest speaker, or a student. These talks typically include finished research or various topics such as a particularly interesting application of mathematics.

We encourage members to apply for the Pi Mu Epsilon Honors society if they are eligible, and we hold the Math Formal in the late spring to induct the new members.

DECA offers the opportunity to compete in the following areas at an international career development conference each year in a different state. The purpose of mock trial is to educate the youth of America about our legal system, our jurisprudence and the work of our attorneys. To that end the educational function in all of our activities is primary and any competitive aspect of mock trial is secondary. The ideals of fairness, civility and justice should guide our actions. Our organization's mission is to educate students about the law and legal proceedings. We seek to connect students who are passionate about law, acting, or public speaking. Mock trial seeks to develop important skills that can be utilized in any future career path such as analytical reasoning, public speaking, unity and critical thinking. We intend to create an environment that connects students with different interests and different backgrounds in an environment where collaboration and teamwork is key. It is our mission for our members to develop poise and self-confidence that empower them to make life-changing connections that they carry to their future careers.

Our organization's mission is to learn mathematical and scientific modeling in a fun environment. In the club, we ask quantitative questions. We then explore modeling approaches, model writing, analysis, simulation, parameterization, and interpretation of results that feed back into asking new questions. Students are also encouraged to participate in team modeling competitions such as COMAP's Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) and Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling.

Wave Pool: Student Investment Club is the first investment club at Pepperdine Seaver College. Wave Pool seeks to promote financial literacy, extend finance career opportunities, and encourage economic applications in the lives of students. We find it imperative to address the lack of financial education in the traditional schooling system by prioritizing financial literacy in our discussions. Additionally, Wave Pool intends to enhance Pepperdine's Finance program by extending internships, exploratory programs, and other career development opportunities to undergraduates. Lastly, club members will learn to communicate with potential donors and manage a portfolio, equipping them with invaluable real-life experience.

The mission of the Women in STEM Club is to foster an encouraging community of female students who are interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With a large emphasis on female mentorship, we aim to support fellow undergraduate students in their pursuit of higher education and future careers in the STEM fields, as well as encourage younger girls in the local community through communal outreach projects. Education and service allow WISC to advocate for the more widespread initiative of crushing gender disparities within STEM fields.
